Teenager identified as driver killed in Eastside crash

Donshey pulled over into a lot in the 3700 block of North Keystone Avenue. He raised his hands as the officer conducted the felony stop and waited for backup. Soon after, though, Donshey fled eastbound on East 38th Street at high speed.

Driver killed during east-side police chase identified

As he approached 38th Street and Sherman Drive, he swerved to avoid hitting another vehicle traveling north on Sherman. His vehicle then flipped several times before it wrapped around a large tree.

"We saw that car flying across and then we saw two more police officers, and then a whole lot more police came and this is where they ended up," said Vera, a witness of the accident.

Driver identified in northeast side fatal chase

Donshey James, 17, died of multiple blunt force injuries after he swerved to avoid hitting another vehicle while police were chasing him at 38th Street and North Sherman Drive. 
Donshey James was driving a stolen Pontiac Aztec when he crashed near the intersection of East 38th Street and North Sherman Drive while avoiding police. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
