Noblesville pedestrian dies after being struck twice by cars

Both drivers — Amy C. Leap, 26, Nobleville, and Gabrielle L. Shepherd, 22, Noblesville -- stopped and attempted to help Alvarenga before an ambulance transported him to Riverview Hospital in Noblevsville.
Police in Noblesville were called to an accident on Friday night involving two cars and pedestrian. The incident happened at 11:43 p.m. at the intersection of 191st Street and Golden Meadow Way. According to witnesses at the scene a 2007 Buick Rendezous was driving west on 191st Street. The witnesses say that a pedestrian was seen shortly before the crash walking west. The pedestrian was struck by the Buick. Police say the pedestrian was then struck a second time by a 2000 Mercury Sable that was driving east on 191st Street. Both drivers stopped and called authorities. The pedestrian was transported to Riverview Health in Noblesville where he died a short time later. The driver of the Buick, Amy Leap, 26, was taken to Riverview Health for a check out. The driver of the Mercury, Gabrielle Shepherd, 22, was not injured. The name of the victim was not released as of 3 a.m. Saturday.
