Officials say that Jimmie J. Adams of Noblesville was working on the tractor in a field on Sunday. He didn’t realize the tractor was in gear when it started moving forward with no one driving. Adams attempted to climb aboard to stop it but slipped and fell into its path, and he was run over. Medics were called and they attempted to revive him, but he died before he was able to be brought to a hospital.
