UPDATE: Suspect named in Jeffersonville hit and run

No names have been released, but the owner of the SUV identified a family member as the driver at the time of the accident. Warrants for the suspect include the offense of leaving the scene of an accident causing serious bodily injury and other possible charges.

Arrest made in Jeffersonville, Ind. hit and run from November

JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. (WHAS11) -- An arrest was made in Jeffersonville, Ind. hit and run accident that left a woman and her daughter in critical condition, right before Thanksgiving. 40-year-old Clay William Armstrong from Louisville, KY. was taken into custody by the Jeffersonville Police. RELATED: Woman in critical condition after hit, run in Jeffersonville The suspected driver hit a woman and her 13-year-old daughter, with a white 2003 Chevy Trailblazer SUV, and drove off without stopping to help. He said the SUV that hit them was speeding on the wrong side of the road. Armstrong had two outstanding warrants for two counts leaving the scene of an accident with serious bodily injury as well as two counts of reckless driving The hit and run occurred on Nov. 25 around 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of Market and Pearl streets, near the Big Four Bridge in Jeffersonville.
