New Albany police car collides with truck, drivers sustain minor injuries

It happened Monday night at the intersection of State and Market Streets.

UPDATE: New Albany police officer injured in wreck

The Floyd County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the accident since it involved a New Albany Police officer.
It was about 7:30pm when a New Albany police officer had his lights and sirens on, and was rushing to a reported bank robbery on State Street. At the intersection of State and Market Streets, a red pickup truck reportedly ran a red light and collided with the officer's vehicle. Though there was considerable damage to the vehicles, both drivers were hospitalized with only minor injuries.
