Two people were taken to the hospital Saturday evening after a horse crossing S.R. 120 near Bristol was hit by a pickup truck, leading to a three-vehicle crash. Police say a pickup truck traveling westbound on S.R. 120 struck the horse, which was crossing in the 16000 block of S.R. 120 shortly before 8 p.m. Police say an SUV traveling eastbound then struck the horse and dragged it for about 40 yards. The second SUV came to a full stop on the north side of S.R. 120, facing north, police say. A second SUV traveling west on S.R. 120 hit a spare wheel that fell off the pickup truck’s bed, causing the driver to lose control.
