12-year-old Morgan Hunter died in Shipshewana car crash Thursday morning, officials say

Morgan Hunter, a seventh-grader at Westview Junior High School, was killed in the crash, LaGrange County Coroner Jeff Helmuth confirmed. A Shipshewana 12-year-old girl died in a Thursday morning crash after the vehicle she was in lost control along C.R. 675 West, police say. Police believe she wasn’t wearing a seatbelt when the crash happened and that the car was traveling above the speed limit. Hunter was ejected from the car’s back window and pronounced dead at the scene, the sheriff’s department says.
