Northeast Iowa man dies 3 days after bike accident

A man has died three days after crashing his bicycle on a recreational trail in the northeast Iowa city of Decorah.
Dan Werner, 66, former chief administrative officer of Winneshiek Medical Center, died Sunday afternoon from injuries he suffered when he flipped over the handlebars of his bike on the Trout Run Trail Thursday afternoon. Nixon said Werner was attempting to pass a pedestrian from behind at about 3:30 p.m. when he made slight contact with the woman and his bike flipped forward.
