Karlee Ann Johnson, 17, injured, taken to hospital, after her vehicle goes out of control on E. Dunkerton Road near Dunkerton and overturns in a field.

A single vehicle rollover crash sent a Cedar Falls teen to the hospital Friday evening.

The Black Hawk County Sheriff's office says it happened around 4:30 p.m. about four miles west of Dunkerton on E. Dunkerton Road.

Investigators say 17-year-old Karlee Ann Johnson and two passengers were traveling westbound when Johnson lost control of her vehicle.

The vehicle ran off the north side of the road and rolled over into a farm field.

Deputies say an ambulance took Johnson to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries. They say the two passengers were not injured.

Johnson was cited for failure to maintain control.
