DOT officials told KCCI's Kim St. Onge that the driver is a 16-year-old boy from Roland. He was driving with two other children in the car at the time of the crash.
The driver suffered minor injuries, authorities reported.
He was cited for failure to yield. Authorities said the teen was not impaired at the time and was probably just driving too fast.
