Ankeny Police say one person is dead after being hit by car on the city’s south side.

Emergency crews responded to the crash in the 1800 block of SW Oralabor Road at about 2 p.m. Saturday.

An accident happened shortly after 2 o ‘clock Saturday afternoon in the 1800 block of Oralabor Road in Ankeny. Police are still investigating the cause of the accident but say the driver has been cooperative. The driver of the vehicle has not been charged.
