Authorities say an Oskaloosa man has died in a single-vehicle crash in southeastern Iowa.

Scholtus was taken by ambulance to Mahaska County Hospital, where he died.

Andrew Scholtus, 23, was driving a truck on Whitwell Avenue at about 7:00pm when departed the roadway and crashed into a guardrail, ejecting him from the vehicle. After an ambulance rushed Scholtus to the hospital, he was eventually pronounced dead. The cause of the crash remains under investigation. More information will be added as it is released.
