KANSAS SHERIFF'S DEPUTY KILLED DURING TRAFFIC STOP HIT-RUN

Johnson County Sheriff’s Office Master Deputy Brandon Collins had stopped a car in Overland Park at about 1:30 a.m. when another vehicle rammed into the back of the patrol car he was sitting in, according to a statement from the Overland Park Police.

Adrian Espinosa-Flores pleaded guilty to second degree murder for his involvement in the case, according to the Johnson County District Attorney.

Adrian Espinosa-Flores pleaded guilty to second-degree murder for his involvement in the case in October. On Friday the judge gave him the maximum penalty allowed under the law with the plea agreement that was reached.
