Bicyclist critically injured in hit-and-run crash in Shawnee

Police say a bicyclist has been injured in a hit-and-run crash in the Kansas City suburb of Shawnee. The Kansas City Star reports that the crash happened Wednesday morning. Police are looking for a white truck that has possible front-end damage. Both the truck and the bicyclist were headed west at the time of the crash. The driver didn’t stop and continued west.

Police question driver who struck 62-year-old cyclist then kept going in Shawnee

SHAWNEE, Kan. -- Police have questioned and released a man after they say he hit a cyclist Wednesday morning in Shawnee then kept driving. Wednesday, a driver hit Steve McCrary, 62, as he was cycling westbound on Shawnee Mission Parkway near Vista. Neighbors also told FOX 4 that McCrary biked to the west coast last year and caught an airplane back. Witnesses told police the driver kept going in a white truck with damage on the front. Wednesday afternoon, police released information that they found and questioned the driver.

Man charged in hit-and-run involving bicyclist in Shawnee

Kevin E. Hall was charged Tuesday with DUI, aggravated battery and leaving the scene of an accident.
