Two-vehicle collision on Interstate 70 leads to car driving off embankment

A two-vehicle collision on eastbound Interstate 70 caused one car to leave the roadway on the westbound side and drive off of an embankment. The Nissan came to a stop after hitting a gate, said Shawnee County emergency crews on the scene. The Kansas Highway Patrol and the Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office are investigating what caused the incident. The Subaru pulled over in the eastbound lanes after the collision. The silver Nissan Sentra side-swiped a white Subaru sedan, proceeded to cross the westbound lanes of the highway and flew off of an embankment.
