A train collides with a car in Hart County and the driver is life flighted to U of L Hospital.

2 dead, 2 injured in weekend crashes

A preliminary investigation shows Wheeler was driving east in her 2014 Chevrolet Impala when she attempted to cross the railroad tracks and failed to see a northbound train, according to a release from state police.

Wheeler, who was wearing her seat belt, was flown to the University of Louisville Hospital, where she was being treated for life-threatening injuries.
21 year old Hope Wheeler was heading east on JL Thomas Road when she drove across a railroad crossing. Police claimed she didn't see a CSX train coming. That train hit Wheeler's car spinning her off the road. Police said she was airlifted to Louisville for life threatening injuries. We've made a call to the hospital checking on Wheeler's status.
