Driver who collided with moving train pulled from wreckage just before 2nd crash

Timothy McCullough, 27, was driving a 2015 Jeep SUV westbound on Maher Road when he braked upon approaching a railroad crossing where a train was passing. Six minutes after the first collision, a Norfolk Southern train crashed into what was left of the Jeep. Pattison and Moore radioed dispatch, asking that the train be stopped. While tending to McCullough, the officers were told of another northbound train that was headed their way. A news release from the Boone County Sheriff's Office said the events began to unfold about 10:40 p.m.
