One person died and two others were taken to the hospital after a three-vehicle collision in Boone County Sunday.

Crews were sent to the intersection of U.S. 25 and Frogtown Road around 7 a.m.

According to police, a vehicle driven by Bobby Jones, 26, was northbound on U.S. 25 approaching Frogtown Road traveling in the southbound lane.

Another vehicle, driven by Richard Taylor, 27, was southbound on U.S. 25 approaching Frogtown Road when he veered left in an attempt to avoid a collision with Jones.
