Clarksville’s town judge was arrested in Louisville last week after allegedly crashing into two parked cars and admitting to authorities he’d drank “too many” beers at Headliners Music Hall in Louisville. Judge Mickey Weber, 32, of the 400 block of N. Taggart Ave., was charged with driving under the influence, criminal mischief and failing to show valid insurance, according to an arrest report. Louisville Metro Police responded to an injury accident about 12:45 a.m. January 16 at Lexington Road and Hamilton Avenue, several blocks from Headliners. When Weber arrived at University of Louisville Hospital, police said Weber refused to consent to the collection of urine and blood samples. Weber “had glassy eyes and slurred speech,” the report states. Weber previously worked as an attorney for the Jeffersonville City Council, but he resigned in Jauary 2012, citing increased demands of a busy law practice and serving as judge of Clarksville Town Court after being elected. Weber was not working at court on Tuesday, requiring a special judge to preside over cases such as shoplifting and drunk driving. He also administers oaths to town police officers, among other duties. A court clerk worker said Weber doesn’t handle cases on Wednesdays, but she expects him to return to the bench Thursday. A message left for Weber at the clerk’s office wasn’t immediately returned. Weber, who posted a $500 bond at Metro Corrections, is next scheduled to appear in Jefferson District Court at 9 a.m. Feb. 12, according to court records.
