Man killed in Hardin County accident identified

The Kentucky State Police are investigating an accident that happened on Ky. 447 (S. Wilson Road) in Hardin Co. on July 3 at 4:30 p.m. that killed one man and injured two other people.

Authorities say the Mustang, driven by Michael Friedrich, crossed the center lane, hitting Lawler’s motorcycle.
One person was killed Friday in a crash involving a car and motorcycle, on a rural road in Hardin County. The coroner says 37-year-old Richard Lawler of Eastview died in the crash. Kentucky State Police say on July 3rd, Lawler was traveling southbound on KY 447 on a motorcycle. They say 27-year-old Michael Friedrich of Renfrew, Pennsylvania and 28-year-old Michelle Joseph of Fort Knox, Kentucky, were traveling northbound on KY 447 in a Ford Mustang. Authorities say the Mustang, driven by Michael Friedrich, crossed the center lane, hitting Lawler’s motorcycle. Lawler was pronounced dead at the scene. Friedrich was taken to Hardin Memorial Hospital with non life-threatening injuries. Michelle Joseph was airlifted to University of Louisville Hospital.
