The Jeffersontown police said a pickup truck was headed northbound on Taylorsville Road, when, according to witnesses, a car approached the intersection but never appeared to hit the break.

The coroner said John D. Scott, 74, died of multiple blunt force trauma from the accident.
The driver and child passenger in the truck suffered minor injuries.
