Students treated after Shelby County buses collide

More than a dozen students were taken to the hospital after a crash involving two school buses on Tuesday. It happened at about 8:30 a.m. at one of the entrances to Shelby County High School on Frankfort Road. Ryan Allan, spokesperson for Shelby County Public Schools, said there was confusion about which bus had the right of way. “I was in the bed right here in front of the house and heard a big boom wasn't sure what had happen, jerked the curtain back and looked out and seen the bottom of the bus,” neighbor Patty Fishback said. Fishback lives right across the street of Shelby County High School. The first thing she noticed was the bus on its side.
