Crash in Trigg County kills passenger

Christopher Battoe of Paducah and his mother, Audrey Rednour of Symsonia, were eastbound on U.S. 68 when Battoe attempted to turn onto the Interstate 24 westbound ramp and drove into the path of another vehicle. That vehicle, driven by Dwight Wharton of Cadiz, struck Battoe's vehicle on the passenger side, leading to Rednour being pronounced dead at the scene. Battoe was airlifted to a hospital in Nashville, while Wharton was taken to a local hospital.
