LSU professor walking with bicycle struck, killed on Highway 952

A Louisiana State University professor died on Sunday after being hit by a pickup truck on Highway 952 in East Feliciana Parish. Elisabeth Oliver, 63, was walking the highway around noon when a pickup truck, driven by a 79-year-old man, struck her. Oliver had been having mechanical issues with her bike before she was hit by the vehicle. She was transported to Our Lady of the Lake Hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.
