Tree limb falls on brothers riding motorcycles, killing one

Both riders were wearing their helmets and neither was suspected of driving while intoxicated.
Travis Lessard, 53, was riding a Harley Davidson alongside his brother, Joseph Lessard, 52, on La. 22 east of La. 16 at about 1:30 p.m. when the limb fell. Travis Lessard, of Gonzales, was pronounced dead at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Gonzales while Joseph Lessard, of Maurepas, was taken to a Baton Rouge Hospital with serious injuries.
