Elton man killed in crash near Roanoke
Police said a 24-year-old Elton woman was driving east on Bryan Road and failed to stop at a stop sign. A truck driven by a Jennings man struck the woman's car as it entered the intersection. A passenger in the woman's car, 25-year-old Kevin Daigle of Elton, was ejected and later died from his injuries at a Lafayette hospital. The driver of the car that ran the stop sign was taken to a hospital with serious injuries. The driver and her passenger were not wearing seat belts. A 2-year-old in the car was restrained and was moderately injured.
