Crash near Sulphur kills 2,seriously injures another

Two people died and another was seriously injured early Saturday in a head-on crash north of Sulphur, authorities said. Delgado was pronounced dead at the scene by the Calcasieu Parish Coroner’s Office. Maddox was pronounced dead at the hospital, he said. Alcohol use is suspected to be a factor in the crash, and toxicology samples were obtained from the drivers for analysis, Anderson said. The driver of the Kia, 26-year-old Michael Maddox, and the passenger, 27-year-old Amber Borel, both of Dry Creek, were seriously injured and were taken to an area hospital, Anderson said.
