Around 3:30 p.m., Tregre was turning onto US 90 from Carlon, when his car was hit by another vehicle traveling on the highway. Tregre was pronounced dead on the scene, according to State Police.
The passenger in Tregre's car suffered moderate injuries, and the driver of the other vehicle and an 11-year-old child suffered minor injuries.
