Bicyclist, 65, killed in Bridge City hit-and-run, JPSO says
Authorities were called about 7:10 a.m. to 9 Mile Point Road near Highway 90 in Bridge City, where they found a body lying next to a damaged bicycle on the side of the road, said sheriff's spokesman Col. John Fortunato.

Taurus C. Hale, 21, who was 20 and living in Marrero when the crash occurred, was convicted by a Jefferson Parish jury of hit-and-run driving causing death or serious bodily injury.
