One person has died after a collision involving a city Regional Transit Authority bus near Southern University of New Orleans' campus. The wreck happened around 12:30 p.m. in the 6400 block of Press Drive, according to the New Orleans Police Department.
A motorist ran into the back of the RTA bus, police said. That person, who was not named immediately named by authorities, was taken to a hospital. The death was reported to police around 1:30 p.m.
