LEWISTON — Medical workers battled to save the life of a man who was struck by a car early Wednesday night on Lisbon Street near Webber Avenue. Police blocked off a section of Lisbon Street between South and East avenues to traffic and tried to keep a growing crowd of onlookers at bay. When Sheridan and others rushed out to the street, they saw shoes strewn across the roadway and the victim motionless in the street.
