Riders identified in Windham motorcycle crash

Speed does not appear to be a factor and if any of the ride participants witnessed the accident, they are asked to call Windham police.
The four riders in Saturday's motorcycle crash in Windham have been identified. Windham police say 28-year-old Ricky Morse, of Buxton, and his passenger, 24-year-old Kaitlin Knight, were riding a 2001 Yamaha when the bike collided with a 2008 Harley-Davidson driven by 54-year-old Jon Swan, of Bethel. His passenger was his wife, Deborah Swan, who was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. Morse is the most seriously injured and remains in critical condition at Maine Medical Center. The accident took place at the intersection of River Road and Cardinal Lane Saturday morning as the riders were one of the 120 motorcycles participating in a charity fundraiser as part of the "Bikers Against Breast Cancer" ride. Windham police said the two motorcycles were riding beside each other during the ride. Both the driver and passenger on each motorcycle were thrown onto the pavement at the time of the collision and were slowing for traffic when the accident occurred. Speed does not appear to be a factor and if any of the ride participants witnessed the accident, they are asked to call Windham police.
