Wilton teen injured in crash at Route 2 intersection

Franklin County Sheriff's Deputy Chris Chase assisted at the scene. Members of Wilton and East Dixfield fire departments also helped.

China Dunn, 17, was taken to Franklin Memorial Hospital by a NorthStar Ambulance to receive treatment for minor injuries Monday afternoon when the SUV she was driving and a truck collided at Route 2 and Maxwell Road. Truck driver Mark Pomeroy, 64, of Wilton was not hurt. Dunn was driving a 2004 Buick SUV when she attempted to cross Route 2 to Maxwell Road at around 1 p.m. Police say the sun may have affected her ability to see Pomeroys's 2014 Dodge truck headed west on Route 2. Both vehicles were seriously damaged and were hauled from the scene by Hilltop Wrecker Service of Jay.
