Jay man dies in early morning crash

Hanson was a former assistant wrestling coach at Dirigo High School in Dixfield, and coached boys varsity soccer there for four years, ending in 2009. He had recently taken a job at MaineGeneral Hospital.
At about 12:30am, Hanson's car departed the roadway, flipped over, and came to rest upside-down against a utility-pole. Though Hanson was wearing a seat belt, he died as a result of the crash. The accident is still under investigation, but hazardous road conditions such a black ice are believed to be contributing factors.
