Maryland state police said in a news release that just before 1 a.m., a Ford Expedition was traveling westbound on the eastbound lanes of U.S. 50 at Ridgely Avenue when the driver struck two people — a male and a female — on a motorcycle.

State police said troopers were called at 12:50 a.m. Sunday to Route 50 at Ridgely Avenue, where a Ford Expedition traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes collided with a motorcycle.
