Two people died in a multi-vehicle collision outside Annapolis Tuesday evening.

Police: Two killed in Arnold crash

The vehicles eventually came to rest after the GMC pushed the Nissan sideways out of the intersection and into the traffic signal support pole.

Investigators believe that Manuel A. Valencia, 32, was under the influence of alcohol when he turned left from Ritchie Highway onto College Parkway without obeying the traffic signal. It was about 7:30 p.m., and Valencia's car was struck by an SUV driven by Charles Michael Nossick, 56, where it was pushed into and crushed against a traffic pole. Valencia was declared dead at the scene of the crash, while Nossick was pronounced dead shortly after being rushed to the hospital by ambulance.
