Woman dies from boating accident on Nabbs Creek

A Riviera Beach woman died Friday from injuries she received in a boating accident last Saturday on Nabbs Creek, according to Maryland Natural Resources Police. Diane Houst, 53, slipped when the boat surged forward and got stuck between the vessel's windshield and the underpinnings of the dock. Houst was transported to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore with multiple injuries. She is the state's 16th boating fatality this year, four more than all of last year, according to the NRP. The agency is investigating the incident.
