Five people were injured, two critically, in a motorcycle accident Friday night. According to police, a blue Honda motorcycle was driving south on Ritchie Highway when it struck a blue Acura making a u-turn. They have been identified as 22-year-old Dalawn Jackson, 22-year-old Mykwell Taylor and 18-month-old Macion Taylor. The two occupants of the Honda were thrown from the motorcycle and have critical, life-threatening injuries. The driver and passengers in the Honda were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Motorcycle accidents are more likely to end in serious injuries or death for the motorcyclist, since the rider is not protected from the force of a collision.
