Police Investigate Double Fatal Head-On Crash

Investigators believe the cause of the crash was Cassidy crossing the center line and police said alcohol use also appears to be a factor. The investigation is ongoing.

Two victims of fatal Davidsonville crash identified

Anne Arundel County police identified two victims, a 60-year-old woman and a 22-year-old man, killed in a crash in Davidsonville on Monday which may have been alcohol-related.
A double fatal accident happened Monday night in Davidsonville around 8:42 p.m. when two vehicles crashed head-on in the 400 block of Central Avenue West near Beards Point Road. A black Audi TT was traveling westbound Central Avenue when it crossed the centerline and crashed with a silver Toyota Yaris. Marie Elaine Higgs, 60, the driver of the Yaris, was declared deceased at the site. Nicholas Anthony Cassidy, 22, driver of the Audi, was taken to Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis where he later died from his injuries.
