Driver Rescued in Dump Truck Crash Near Ellicott City: Police

Crews spent two hours getting driver out on US 29 on Thursday, Howard County officials said.
A dump truck crashed into the median on Route 29 in Ellicott City at around 8:30 a.m. Thursday, causing heavy traffic delays. Authorities reported that Kenneth Tyrone Beidlemann was pinned in the truck, and it took an incredible 40 rescuers and 12 pieces of equipment to free him. After being freed he was airlifted to the Maryland Shock and Trauma Center in serious condition
