Carroll County Sheriffs Office Investigate Deputy-InvolvedAccident

SYKESVILLE, Md. (WJZ) — The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a serious accident involving a deputy and another vehicle early Wednesday morning. The road was closed for several hours as the accident was investigated, but the road as since reopened. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Corporal Miller at 410-386-5900 or the Anonymous TIPS Hotline at 1-888-399-TIPP. A preliminary investigation of the accident, which occurred around 1:41 a.m. in Sykesville, shows that Cpl. Brant Webb was driving his marked Dodge Charger westbound on Route 26 near Franklinville Road, when he was struck by a 2011 Toyota Camry traveling eastbound.
