Md. 355 closed as police investigate fatal motorcycle accident - WTOP

WASHINGTON — All lanes of Md. 355 near the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland will be closed through the morning rush hours as police investigate a fatal motorcycle crash, Montgomery County police say. All lanes of Md. 355 are closed in both directions between Cedar Lane and Jones Bridge Road. Paul Starks says the bus appears to be a Ride-On bus. It appears there were no passengers on the bus, according to Montgomery County Fire. A bus struck the motorcyclist around 6 a.m., according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue.

Police identify Va. motorcyclist who died after Bethesda collision with bus

Police say the preliminary investigation indicates that Plati was driving his 2001 Suzuki south on Rockville Pike. The bus, operated by Hyggins Charles, 59, of Silver Spring, was going north and trying to make a left onto  South Drive.
