3 Clarksburg HS students killed in crash

Police say the three teenagers were in a pickup truck traveling southbound when the driver lost control around a curve and crashed into several trees.

According to police, 17-year-old Jacob Dennis, 18-year-old Patrick Andrew Shifflett and 17-year-old Cary Greene were all in the truck that was left crumpled on the side of the road.

“There is some evidence that they were coming from a nearby party that may have been a celebration as graduation for seniors at Clarksburg High School is scheduled for today,” said Capt. Paul Starks with the Montgomery County Police Department.

"Words cannot express what I'm feeling," Principal Whiting remarked during a press conference following graduation. "I was the principal of Rocky Hill Middle School when these young men were in middle school, so I've known them since they were 11-years-old... They were good kids.
