Two cars collided head-on about 5 a.m. in the 10100 block of Cedar Lane near Everett Street, said Montgomery County Fire & EMS spokesman Pete Piringer. One person had to be extricated.

Police said 35-year-old Marcial Matthew Saenz, of the 5200 block of Pooks Hill Road in Bethesda, was driving a 2011 Honda Civic on eastbound Cedar Lane when it crossed the centerline and collided with a 2004 Honda Pilot.
