Fort Washington man dies in single-car accident in Myersville

One man was killed early Friday morning in a single-vehicle crash on U.S. 40 at Pleasant Walk Road in Myersville, Md., according to a news release from Maryland State Police.

State police investigate two fatal crashes with Frederick County connections

The most recent crash was reported at about 2:15 a.m. Friday on U.S. 40 at Pleasant Walk Road in Myersville, where troopers from the Frederick barrack went to a single-vehicle crash involving a purple 1994 Chevrolet Caprice, said Sgt. Vinson Smith.
Corey Eugene Hall was driving on U.S. 40 at Pleasant Walk Road early in the monring when he swerved into the westbound lanes, struck a guardrail, and was launched into the air. The car landed in a ditch, and Hall sustained fatal injuries. The accident is still under investigation. Alcohol is not believed to have been involved.
