Woman, Child Injured After Struck by Car in Rockville
The woman, 28, was flown to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, suffering from severe injuries. Police said she is expected to survive.
The child was taken to Children's Hospital in Washington, where they were treated and released.
The car that hit them stayed on the scene. Police closed Parkland Drive during the investigation.
