72-year-old man killed when car rear-ends truck in Silver Spring
A 72-year-old man was killed when his car rear-ended a truck Wednesday along Georgia Avenue near Hathaway Drive in Silver Spring.
Fatal Crash Closes Road in Montgomery Co. for Several Hours
The driver of the GMC truck is identified as 33-year-old Emelvin Eliud Soto Alvarez, of Hyattsville. The 72-year-old driver of the Cadillac has not yet been identified.
Fatal wreck closes part of Georgia Avenue
Police say a Cadillac and a work truck were traveling north on Georgia Avenue when the car hit the rear of the truck just before 10:30 a.m. The Cadillac crossed the median and came to a stop in the southbound lanes of Georgia Avenue near Hathaway Drive.
