Officials seeking information in fatal Brockton hit and run

It is believed the occupants of the vehicle have information regarding the hit and run death of Carl-Evan O. Yancey.

Driver wanted in fatal Brockton hit and run

Officials said the driver hit a pedestrian at Belmont Street and West Street in front of the 7Eleven, where they believe they were able to obtain surveillance video of the crash.

Mass. State Police seek public help in hit and run investigation

Yancey was walking home from his second job at Shaw's Supermarket that evening when he was run down and killed. Yancey was a teacher's assistant for the Goddard School in Brockton, and recently started work as a youth advocate at Transition House in Brockton. He was also a stand-up comedian appearing at local clubs, and coached youth sports, including girl's soccer and the Brockton Patriots Youth Football team.
Officials are looking for the driver of a silver or gray minivan that drove eastbound through the intersection of Belmont Street and West Street in Brockton at around 9:22 p.m. on Sunday.
