Pedestrian struck by car in Lowell

Police confirm a pedestrian has been struck by a car in Lowell. A State Police reconstruction team has just been called to the scene.

14-Year-Old Girl Critically Injured By Car InLowell

LOWELL (CBS) '€” A 14-year-old girl is in '€œextremely critical condition'€ after she and multiple vehicles were struck by the same car in Lowell on Thursday afternoon, police say. The car then struck a third vehicle head-on, causing it to push into a fourth. The car continued on, hitting the girl a second time, police say, and then sideswiped two vehicles stopped in the opposite lane. After getting off of a Lowell Regional Transity Authority bus, the girl walked in front and began to cross the street, police said. The girl was rushed to Lowell General Hospital before being taken by medical helicopter to Tufts Medical Center in Boston.
