63-year-old man killed, after his car collides with another vehicle, driven by Nicholas Salvo, 23, who was arrested for vehicular homicide, on State Route 140 in Mansfield.

A Norton man was arrested after a car crash in Mansfield resulted in the death of a man Friday night.
Officials responded to a motor vehicle crash in the northbound lanes of Route 140 at around 11:57 p.m., where they say that 23-year-old Nicholas Salvo was traveling at a high speed and ran a red light at the intersection of Norfolk St.
Salvo was placed under arrest and was transported to Rhode Island Hospital. He has been charged with motor vehicle homicide, OUI and other traffic-related violations.
After being released from the hospital, he was transported to the Mansfield Police Department. His bail was set at $10,000 pending an arraignment in Attleboro District Court on Monday.
A 63-year-old Raynham man had to be extricated from his vehicle. He was transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro where he was pronounced dead. His identity has not been released.
